School Of Distance Learning And Continuing Education

A full fledged School Of Distance Learning Continuing Education of Kakatiya University came into Existence in 1998 while mainly dedicating itself towards removing all barriers that traditionally restrict access to University level studies while offering a number of correspondence-cum-contact Courses, non-formal education and certain other non-conventional Courses. The basic task of the School is to provide equality of educational opportunities for all adult Indians in general and residents of North Telangana districts in particular regardless of their prior academic credential. Thus, the school focuses its attention mainly to advance and disseminate learning and knowledge by different of means which are generally not observed in formal type of education. In the process the School has scheduled its Programmemes to increasingly aim at covering larger segments of populations vocations and professions and maintenance of high quality of teaching, training, counselling and glance.

Regional Centers / Study Centers - The regional centers are established with the objective of decentralising the administration and bringing the SDLCE nearer to the Learner .These Centers will look after admissions, distributions of course materials, processing of examination forms, issue of certificates etc., and students need not look to the SDLCE Head Quarter Office for all purposes. The Study centers will arrange contact classes and special academic sessions and handle the student assessments for the benefit of students.
